Antique Telephones - Western Electric 3500 Western Electric 3500 set. 1954 These are a cross between the 300 and 500.The base and internal components were from the 300 set. The case was a shortened version of what was to become the 500 set. This was the last version of the 3500 before the 500 set was introduced. It has the more modern 4" dial. The handset is the G1 that was used on the 500. The transition period between the 300 set to the 500 sets was relatively short, consequently none of the 3500 set variations are particularly common. These are probably one of the most overlooked collectibles today. |
